THIS CHRISTMAS SANTA SEND ME A SUNNY SANDY BEACH
In Christmas most of us prefer to be at home near a fireplace or in a shelter up to the mountains stranded by a heavy snowstorm. On the contrary, personally I would like to be on a tropical island enjoying a beautiful sunny and sandy beach! Doing my favourite water-sport under the hot rays of the sun and making a sandman instead are all I would ask for Christmas. Without doubt every season is unique but for me is different. I’m so much in love with sun and sea that I wish summer had been the only one season on earth! After all, I grew up on the beautiful sandy beach of Agios Ioannis in Lefkada, one of the seven Ionian islands of Greece. So that’s why I’m a summer lover.
Season’s Greetings from Lefkada’s Surfers Beach
How you could be a winter lover when summer in Lefkas offers you so much joy. From May till September a constant thermal northwest wind blows every day the same hours on Agios Ioannis beach! So the spot is ideal for kite or wind surfing. Every summer hundreds of surfers from the whole world enjoy on this beach their favourite sport. Moreover in the morning the calm sea invites you to go kayaking or SUPing. However the best time of the day to kite is during the sunset. Although that time the wind is not so strong, the colours of the sky are amazing and you can take some very awesome pictures! In particular the old windmills in the surrounding create a lovely scenery for photo shooting.
In conclusion, I prefer hot than cold Christmas. For this reason I’m jealous of Brazilians and Australians who celebrate these days on their beaches! How lucky they are! So yes, that’s what I would ask for Christmas. A beautiful sunny and sandy beach to enjoy!
