Today is the first day of the year, and in Greece the tradition is to cut the Lucky Pie (Vasilopita). In particular, the pie with the hidden lucky coin inside. The one who discovers the coin he will be the lucky member of the family for the New Year! Aside from the pieces for the family members, there’s one piece dedicated to the foreign traveler, another to the house, and one to Saint Basil the Great. So, today we wish you to be the lucky one.
